Gemma and John | Holdsworth House Wedding Photography

Holdsworth House in Halifax was the destination for us to shoot Gemma and John’s Wedding.

We got great sun all day and the garden was perfect for the chaps to help reduce the European beer mountain.

I’m pretty sure the cookbook that was presented to John during the speeches was not entirely genuine but Gemma looked fantastic in her gown with john showing on a couple of occasions that he’ s big softy really.

The Cansdales | Halifax Family Photography

Family shoots are always fun times for everyone involved and spending some time to shoot the Cansdale family in Halifax was no exception. In true West Yorkshire fashion the weather was beautifully sunny and yet surprisingly chilly once we’d got to the top of some rather large hills. I guess the fact that there is a wind farm there might have given us a clue.

We loved creating a mix of soft portraits and more funky flash images of Becky and Joel. Mum and Dad (Allison and Steve) asked us to design portfolio album from the shoot so they can remember this time in their family’s life.

Gemma and John Engagement | Holdsworth House Wedding Photography

Gemma and John are getting married at Holdsworth House in Halifax soon and as we always do we met up for a Pre Wedding shoot in downtown Mirfield.

Being a proper bloke, its fair to say John was not looking forward to the shoot as much as Gemma, but I think we turned him around despite the wet and windy weather in deepest, darkest West Yorkshire.

We’re looking forward to better weather on the wedding day itself but now we’ve got to know these two then we’re ready for anything

Becky and Joel Sneaky Peek

We had the privilege of shooting these two young adults (very important, that bit) along with their Mum and Dad recently. Alison and Steve are our good friends and its been a while coming but it was lovely to spend a day shooting the whole gang. You would not believe how cold it was in the wind on the moors above Halifax. Icy was one word we were using. There were a few other short words being banded about as well.

Anyway. Couldn’t resist tweaking a couple of shots from the day ahead of showing them all to the gang.
