Jane and Paul | Highgate House Wedding Photography

Its always nice to get away from home and shoot at new venues. What better way to do it than to shoot the wedding of a great friend in Northampton.

I know Jane wont mind me saying that this was her second marriage. I only say this because it was actually Jane's first marriage that got Charlotte and I started on this wild journey with our photography business.

This time Jane chose Highgate House in Northampton for her and Paul's wedding. This one was really special for Charlotte and I and we were really thankful that we could be part of the day in a lovely part of the world in a really historical old venue.

We know Jane and Paul had a fabulous day. So did we.

Jen and Andrew | Treasurers House York Wedding Photography

This was always going to be an entertaining day! Jen and Andrew managed to combine the classic beauty of a National Trust property with a way cool floating reception venue courtesy of York Boats.

Nestling in the shadow of The Minster, The Treasurers House is a beautiful old building that's older than I care to think about and its main hall has a magnificent feeling of history and is perfect for a wedding ceremony.

After the ceremony and wedding breakfast everyone headed down through York to the River to pick up the evening venue. York Boat's largest boat Captain James Cook was waiting for everyone and on the dot of 7 we all headed up river where some hugely enthusiastic dancing started .

It was a perfect night for a river reception and we jumped off the boat at 10 as it cruised back through York on its way down river. We dread to think how noisy and energetic things got after we left.

We enjoyed the day tremendously with its variety of old and new, traditional and cool. Thanks to Jen and Andrew for letting us share.

Sarah and Andrew | Whitley Hall Wedding Photography

We had te pleasure of sharing Sarah and Andrew's wedding day recently at Whitley Hall in Sheffield. We shared the venue with a couple of feisty peacocks and anyone who's been to Whitley will now they aren't shy. Sarah and Andrews wedding was a lovely family focussed affair and the relaxed ambiance of the venue helped to make it a thoroughly enjoyable day.

We couldn't resist getting the flashguns out for some shots on the pier later in the day and we're thankful the rain held off so we could wrap up the shooting outside before we slipped onto the dance floor to grab Sarah and Andrew's perfectly choreographed first dance.

Bex and David | Northlight Gallery Wedding Photography

Bex and David held their wedding is a fantastically different venue. The Northlight gallery in Huddersfield is a working gallery and creative space. Its main hall is a wonderful old textile mill work shed. A perfect space for the creative talents of Bex and her legion of helpers. We should explain at this point that Bex created all her flowers and decorations from Yorkshire fabrics with brilliant effect. The Ceilidh band in the evening were superb at whipping up the guests into a dancing frenzy.... Exhausting but brilliant

Emma and Matt : The Wedding at Yorebridge House

Hey Everyone. Its album design time round here... Big style!

Just thought I'd share a few more of our wedding experiences from this year.

Emma and Matt decided to get married at the truly gorgeous Yorebridge House in the Yorkshire Dales. As is pretty normal with the Dales, we were playing with all 4 seasons in one day, but in such a wonderful place and in great company the weather hardly matters.

Anyone looking for a fantastic, intimate boutique hotel for their wedding should speak to David and Charlotte. They really looked after Emma and Matt throughout the day and the food..... Superb!

Anyhow. Here's a few images from the day....
